Eckstine Electric is committed to the IEC and the Apprentice Program. He shares the belief that industry members and the association must devote attention to the development of the workforce.

A long supporter of the IEC, he served as chapter president, just retiring from the post with industry changing accomplishments.

Repeated, for the second year, a 40% growth in the number of apprentices being trained through the Rocky Mountain Chapter.
Trained 800 apprentices.
Opened schools in both Fort Collins and Glenwood Springs.
Opened a second facility in Denver (18,000 sq. ft. for training in Denver).
We currently have over 30 State Certified Instructors.
Created Core Skills - a new pre-apprentice program
Participated in many area "Career Days" to encourage students to consider the electrical trade.
  Legislative Acheivements:
Won a 3-yr battle to improve the apprentice ratio.
Appointment of 2 IEC members to State Electrical Board.

Worked with municipalities to maintain the National Electrical Code.

  Chapter Services:

Set up the first Purdue University Project Management Seminar.

Offered 8 Management Level Seminars (from estimating to accounting).

Eckstine Electric receives a top honor...  

At the 2005 IEC National Convention, Eckstine Electric was the recipient of the award, "Industrial Excellence for Project $5 million and larger".

Eckstine Electric received this recognition for its work on the Columbine Water Treatment Plant in Thornton, Colorado.
